WinCC client license problem

Dear all,

I met a strange phenomena about the license.

In one project, the system is PCS7 V6.0SP3, server/client struct, redundency server, muti-client.
The licenses installed for server:
1.Simatic WinCC Server
2.Simatic WinCC-V6 RT 100KPTg 512 ATg
3.Simatic NET BCE/Windows 2000
4.Simatic SFC Visualization V6.0
5.Simatic WinCC Reduncancy
6.Simatic WinCC Advanced Process Ctrl

The licenses installed for client:
1.Simatic Wincc-V6RT 128PTg 512 ATg.

When rnning, no alarm from server,
But there is always POP displayed in client, which contnet is:

Wincc Authorizations are not installed or are insufficient

P.S. the client only running time, no any wincc explore opened.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, Which licenses do the servers have, and is your client configured properly? Have you checked if your license on the clients is OK, with License Manager? There was no defragmentation done, right? Could you post the clients' log here for us? Best regards, Danielle

debon Posts: 28 Rating: (1)	Hi, Danielle, Nemo Attached please find the installed license keys in server and client. The licenses checked ok. And no defragmentation done in PCs. The c/s struct is copied from the siemens standard. By the way, the server and all clients runing normally,except thepop-up windowin client. And you can push "OK" or "CANCEL" for the window to close it, nothing else happens. For the files in WinCC/diagnose, I am contacting the site. I will attach later. Thanks! Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, I think nemo wasn't asking for the example, but for a screenshot of the site pc's to see for himself that they are installed oke. Normally when you get a license pop-up there is a detailed description of the license(s) that is missing. Strange to hear that the pop-up box won't disappear. Have you tried re-installling the license automation manager? note: Copy your licenses back to your disks before doing so !!! With regards, Ikkezelf

debon Posts: 28 Rating: (1)	hi, Ikkezelf because I am not in the site now, so I just simulate the license info in my pc. the difference is :only the G disk should be C in the site pc. And sorry foe my expression. actually, pop-up box disappears after "OK" or "CANCEL", I meant the pop-up doesn't influence the operation afterwards. I am waiting for the files from the customer.

Normally when the pop-up shows you are able to open the detailed information. this informations will show you the licenses needed by the wincc system, and the licenses installed by you. I'm almost sure there is something not right there. Can you have a look at the client pc with a monitoring tool or let somebody else have a look? Eventually you can try to re-install the license manager when everything seems to be oke (as I suggested in my other post). with regards, Ikkezelf

As I have said, for that project, only "Simatic Wincc-V6RT 128PTg 512 ATg" installed in client. But sb told me"Simatic SFC Visualization V6.0"needed if SFC Visualization used in the client, besides the one in server. And also "Simatic WinCC Advanced Process Ctrl" needed for client.
