WinCC Client logon problem

Wacky Posts: 60 Rating: (2)	I have a question on WinCC V6.0 Asia about client logon problem. I am a Server and a Client (without project). I have configured the client and it is work. I want only some users can control some devices. I have set the authorization in the picture object properties (e.g. a button) and i have created user in user administrator. I have enabled authorization no. 1000 and 1001 for the user. As I am using the following C-script whichI found in supporting and I applied it on a logon button: #pragma code("useadmin.dll"); #include "pwrt_api.h"); #pragma code(); PWRTLogin('c'); When I used server to logon, it is no any problem. It cannot be logon on client. After I click the logon button which i created and input the logon name and password. It said "Unknown user". Then, I tried to add the user in client project, user administrator. It is still not work, no any action taken after I input the name and password. I am looking forward to any expert in it. Thank you.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, Have you tried re-creating the server package and loading it again on the clients? If that doesn't work, try creating a new user and testing. Can you log any users on the clients? Do all clients have the exact same behaviour? Best regards, Danielle

Also, I have tried creating new user or new groups. All the user cannot be logon at the client. Is it my logon script wrong or any configuration wrong? Thank you.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, What kind of clients do you have? If you have a Client Without Project the security is configured on the server project and works on the client as well. If you have a Client With Project ( multi-project ) then you need to recreate the settings in the User Administrator on the client. So recreate all the users and access levels. If you wantcentralised security across all clients and servers you can use the Simatic Logon Option for WinCC. You can find more information about this option at http://www.siemens.com/wincc/options and select Simatic Logon from the navigation bar. Best regards, Danielle

The client can access the server project andload the package. The client runtime is worked. Only client logon in runtime can't not be success.

Wacky Posts: 60 Rating: (2)	Thank you everyone. I have just solved the problem. The client logon function of WinCC is totally work. The problem is only I have a I/O field displaying the @CurrentUser tag. After I change the tageto @local::@CurrentUser, no any problem at all. It is my mistake only.
