WinCC Client/Server License Details

himexpert Posts: 30 Rating: (1)	Hi All, I'm doing system selection for my dairy client. I'm totally confused in WinCC client/Server license available with WinCC V6.2 or earlier. Somebody suggested me that only one WinCC server license is needed whose MLFB no. is 6AV6371-1CA06-2AX0 i'm not getting any detail of this license. As I want to use one WinCC server to communicate with Two WinCC Client. All WinCC stationwill be communicating with CPU 317-2 DP/PN. Canany body give me exact information regarding thisWinCC Client/Server License in detail. Thanks& Regards, himexpert.

The clients needs a WinCC RT 128 tags. The clients are connected to server by ethernet and they communicate with S7-cpu through WinCC server. Best regards, Wizard

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi himexpert, Just as Wizard said, only the server will communicate to the PLC's, so it's the only one which will need to have a license with the number of powertags you need... for instance, if you have 7000 powertags, with 2 clients, you'll need at least: 1 8K PowerTags RT license for the server 1 WinCC Server Option license for the server 2 128 RT PowerTags licenses for the clients Best regards, Danielle
