I'm working on my first Unified Comfort Panel (MTP1500). I think I finally figured out how the new Windows are managed and I want to test is in simulation as I don't have a panel yet.

I can't figure out how to login to the Webviewer. I need some sort of credentials..

When I look at the Security Settings, anything I click on tells me to login to the UMC Server (UserType: Global User).

Only thing I was able to do was enable the Anonymous user and assign it as an HMI Operator. But the login button only populates with a password and this user shouldn't need one based on the description.

I've gone through the manuals I can find, but they all point to setting up a deliberate server... I shouldn't need that on a local engineering PC running basic testing..

I tried figuring out how to point to the local PC users, I couldn't figure that out.

I tried finding if there was an initial default user, I can't find that either.

In the WinCC Unified Configuration User Management, I've selected "Select Local or Central User Management in TIA Portal... but then again in there when I try to add a user I need to login with credentials I don't have and can't find.

In your TIA project you need to add a Local user under "security settings > Users and roles"

Assign to this user the appropriate HMI access level (only one box should be checked).

Afterwards do a full download of your HMI, before downloading uncheck the box "Keep current usr admin data"

Go to your webclient and login with the user you created.

Unified comfort panel should allow login even if the https certificates are not configured.

If you are using unified RT the login does not work until the certificates are correctly set up.
