i have 12 PLCs (s7-1217), 11 belongs to 11 identical machines and one general.

each one of the 11 machine has it own local wincc advaced PC.

i want to install 2 independent SCADA RT stations which monitors all the 12 PLCs,

which platform should i choose? (i prefer to stay under the TIA which is WINCC v14 sp1 prof.)

First of all thank you.

I allready have nice working application that 3 wincc advanced communicating with 1 1217 cpu.

The 1217 cpu have 12 hmi connrction resources so it can handle with even 6 wincc advanced.

The problem was the tags....!!!!!!

I found out that the limit is 400 tags per device which these tags are concurrent type.

If the 1200 cpu is connect to several prof or advance runtimes the "400" tags per 1200 should be divided by the number of the HMIs,

For example 3 wincc prof or advanced or any combination of that gives us the calculation of 400/3 =133 tags concutrent.
