Wincc Config folder description

Amity Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi all i have seen a project in which untill i change the PC name in one of the text file in config folder of wincc project.my project do not activated, and this is done deliberatly by the designer unfortunatly i cannot contact the designer, so i want detailed description of config folder. can anyone help me.

Zenon_EMEA Posts: 42 Rating: (5)	Hi Amity, do you mean the Server-Name by the Computer name? Usually if you open theproject first time and it was not generated on the computer you are on, WinCC explorer will ask you to change the Server Name while the specified one is not available. After you have done this, you need to close and restart theproject file; WinCC will do the rest. Even when I could, I never had the need to go into the configuration files myself. Markus
