WinCC Digital/Analog Clock Control

Daniel1983 Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	Hi, I have a simple question: Is it possible to change the format of the standard "WinCC Digital/Analog Clock Control" from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy or change is so it only displays time or date? Thanks!

Ikkezelf Posts: 1084 Rating: (72)	Hi, Danielle mend to have a look into the "regional and langual settings" of your Operating system/computer. I tried that here, but without success. If you want to have a digital clock you could also do the following (I use this method always cause it's easy to configure to suit your needs). In wincc explorer you need to add a new tag channel under "tag management". use the "system_info" channel for that. In this channel I create my tags. -Time: Text Tag 8-bit Character set. With the address selection of that tag you can select time and the way how you want to display it. -Date: Text Tag 8-bit Character set. With the address selection of that tag you can select the date and how you want to display it. These tags can then be connected to an Output Field in your wincc application and voila. with regards, Ikkezelf

In C you could use something like this: struct tm* ptr; time_t Time; char* Date_Time = SysMalloc(49); Time = time(NULL); ptr = localtime(&Time); strftime(Date_Time, 25, "%d/%m/%Y - %H:%M", ptr); return Date_Time; this one returns that info for a static text...

Thanks! Try to modify the DaclockCtrl->Control Properties -> LocaleID (example from 1033 US to1031 for German to getdd/mm/yyyy ). The problem now iswhen this controlis activated itreceives LocaleID from the container (pdl doc) ambient property LocaIeID so you need to overwrite this. See attached.
