WinCC Flexible OP7

Kikof Posts: 4 Rating: (0)	I have tried to set up a connection between my PC and a OP7 DP panel, which has no programdownloaded and therefore noMPI address. In this way it is not possible to connect through MPI/DP via the PLC. So the first time I have to download my program serial with the standard cable 6XV1 440-...., but I have to use a USB-serial converter, because I don't have a serial port on my PC. Is this the problem why I can't make connection to the OP7 DP? Are there other ways to make connection to this, without using the standard cable?

A lot of people told me thatshouldnot bepossible with the converter. So, it's importent that the USB interface use COM1 or COM2, too. The only way it is to transfer the project to the panel with a serial cable. Bye

I installed WinCC Flexible 2008 on a desktop with a serial COM port (COM1), and it still doesn't work..... When you have an OP7, you can only use Protool to transfer project. Best regards, Wizard

I was currious and checked, but without positive result. I used 6XV1440-2KH32 + Prolific PL2303 USB to RS232 Adapter. If I connect this cable directly to my RS232 port (build in) wih this cable, I can connect with OP. So you need real RS232 port. regards

Connect OP7 <-> PC(USB) via converter RS232<>USB. CANNOT DOWNLOAD PROGRAM FROM LAPTOP TO OP3. Simatic OP 27 and PC. Please continue to discuss in the last mentioned thread. Best regards O_Moderator
