WinCC: How to get user group

Hi Steve,

Install Simatic Logon.

Create an internal "text tag 8-bit character set" named "GroupName".
Then I have created a c-script that will be triggerd when the tag "@CurrentUser" changes.

Within the c-script I use the following code to determine the groupname:

That Tag groupname can now be used within the application to display the currently logged in users groupname.
if no user is logged in then the groupname will be left empty.

I try to implement your C-Script but with WinCC Prof V13 there is no option to connect the script to the variable.

Do you try it with WinCC V7.x or with WinCC Prof (TIA Portal)?

In WinCC Professional you can use "Scheduled tasks". Just add a new task with Trigger: "Tag trigger" and use f.e. "@CurrentUser". Then you can implement an event, like a C-Script.
