WinCC language installation HELP!

danieleboss Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	HI, I found on Plant PC that WinCC language installation is in Italian (I means menu, password Login Window..etc..etc). This Plant is in Kuwait and, as normal, Client asks me English language installation. To switch in English language Do I need to reinstall Wincc and import the project? Can I updated with the CD also the language installation without deinstall WinCC and import by new the project? Can I switch directly without new installation or update (I don't think, but asking...maybe!)? Thanks

April Posts: 1776 Rating: (95)	Hi, it depends on your installation. normally 5 languages are installed and you can switch online and offline between these languages. danieleboss Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the suggestion, I replied Text library also in English, the problem is about Static Texts that, in English Language in Run Time and Offline mode, Show me "?????" instead of the original text. I Ask You if there is a quick way to resume thestatic texts also in English or I need to replace them one by oneCopy and Pasting them from Italian language Offline Configuration and English Offline Configuration. To be clear: At the begin,Graphic designerin Offlinewas set as Italian Language and I'm Able to seeStatic Text in Offline and Online adding the problemthat all the Msg Boxes for "System Login" and"Value Out of Range inserting"were displaid in Italian. Imirrored the text library also in English and now I'm able to see alarm and Msg Boxes in English because I set as Runtime Language English. OK The only problem is now the Static Text that are diplayed as "????"instead of original text. Solution: I need to copy and paste all Static Texts from Italian Language Config Offline, switching to English Language Config Offline or it exists a quick way to convert Static Texts? A quick way could safe me 2 days of work!! Thanks Daniel

marinb126 Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	try using easylanguage. its a tool on your wincc - cd. 8in smarttools). with this little program you export text (in .csv file) and then do changes in excel and then import it back to your project.
