WinCC License Problem

zl94123 Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi I have some trouble with WinCC 6.2 license; 1. Whenever I reboot, I saw this message: "The number of external or archive tags exceeds that supported by you software license,You will not be permitted to create new external or archive tags or to make changes. ..." I have RC 1024 6.2 license, do I need another RC 1024 to solve this problem? Otherwise WinCC will be in Demo mode right? for how long? 2. Every 10 minutes or so, I saw a pop up window saying"Your software license has expired. Please purchase a valid license" I click the Details, here is what shown up: SISLA9Wxxxxxxx, WebNavigator 3 Clients, Version conflict: v6.2 is required SIPPA9WRCxxxxxx, Upgrade WinCC Runtime+Configuration 1024-8k Powerpack.... Here arethe license installed: WinCC RC 1024 V6.2in use WinCC WebNavigator (3) 6.2 in use WinCC WebNavigator (3) 6.1 not in use WinCC RT (1024) 6.0 not in use WinCC RT/RC Upgrade 6.2 not in use I tried to upgrade WinCC RT 6.0, it always gave a error, that's why I temporarily transfered a RC 6.2 license. Any Idea?? Thanks a lot

Just look how much tags did you use and you will know what to do next. In any case you need an upgrade. I think you will need RC1024--->RC8192 upgrade. You don't need second RC1024 license. Any Idea?? Thanks a lot RC and RT license of the same version (v6.2) is not permitted. You don't need v6.0 RT1024 license. And you don't need WebNavigator v6.1 license if your WinCC version is really 6.2. If you have WinCC version v6.2 you just need to upgrade powertags from 1024 to 8192. I can see WinCC RT/RC Upgrade 6.2 license. It should not be like that. You need to upgrade existing v6.0 WinCC version to v6.2, but you have RT license of v6.0 so I don't know where you get v6.2. I think there are some mess in your license usage . For work to continue just upgare power tags of v6.2 version as I said above.

Do you think this is going to work? 1. Remove RC6.2 1024, upgrade RT6.0 to RT6.2, upgradeRT6.2to RT8k;---solve thetag number problem 2. Remove the WebNavigator 6.1, solve the license confict problem By the way, the 8192 license, is it the one called: WinCC V6 RT 8000 PTg 512 ATg? Thanks

Remove the WebNavigator 6.1, solve the license confict problem That's right zl94123 By the way, the 8192 license, is it the one called: WinCC V6 RT 8000 PTg 512 ATg? Thanks If you are looking for tag number upgrade, you must look for license called powerpack from RT1024 to RT8192.

When open project, click on OS project name in WinCC explorerr and look at bottom left corner: it will say how many external tags are you using and how many tags your license is. Regards
