WinCC Migration from V17 to V18 WebUX problem

Marko_Petrivic Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi, We are tying to migrate a project from WinCC V17 to V18 and we are unable to compile the WinCC RT Professional project due to a pair of "WebUX: Failed to create WebUX file for the global VBScript "ScripName". Please contact Siemens customer support." Errors. We are not using WebUX for this project, and we tried Screens -> Web access -> WebUX disabled What is the solution for this issue?

Hazard_7 Advanced Member Joined: 5/30/2022 Last visit: 4/25/2025 Posts: 634 Rating: (103)	Hi Marko_Petrivic, I propose you 2 solutions to try to solve your problem according to my personal experience: 1- Make a copy of the project, delete the project IM folder and recompile from new software and hardware: How do you delete the IM folder of your STEP 7 (TIA Portal) project? 2- Delete that Script, delete the calls to the Script, compile, after the compilation is successful, add back the Script and the calls.

Marko_Petrivic Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thank you for your assistance, We tried deleting the IM folder and that worked. Aditinaly, we already solved the issue by making a new project and copying all the devices into the empty project using the old (converted) project as a reference project.
