kukukk Posts: 133 Rating: (5)	Hello! I have to etablish a communication link between the WinCC and an Algodue power meter using the MODBUS protocol. How can I use WinCC as MODBUS Master? What channel, or addon I need? I found a WinCC Serial Channel DLL, but I don't tried yet. I have to use this channel, and implement in a C script the MODBUS protocol, connecting the power meter to the PC via COM1 port? Or there is MODBUS channel for WinCC too? Wich is a realizable solution? -I want to connect the power meter to the COM1 port, and communicate with it from WinCC via MODBUS. -I want to connect the power meter to the COM1 port, and communicate with it from WinCC via serial communication, the MODBUs protocol realized in a C script. -Or using an external hardware: CP341 with an S7-300 CPU, or CPU226 using Port 0 for MODBUS Any idea? best regards, Balogh Szabolcs SC IPA SA CIFATT CLUJ +40 0745-628149 P.S. kukukk Posts: 133 Rating: (5)	Hello! I downloaded the Modbus Serial channel from http://www.allmendinger.de/002_RK/WinCC/ModbusSerial.zip. I tried to copy in C:/Program Files/SIEMENS/WinCC/bin, but I get this message: "the communication driver modbus serial must be installed". This is not the driver, only a Service Pack? From where can I get a demo version of this driver to try it, if it is good for me, or not? I tried to send a feedback, but the Submit button is not working. I wrote a mail, and now I wait for an ansver. (But the Modbus Serial link wasn't updated since 1999.
