WinCC Online Trend Control and VBA

Waterboy Posts: 85 Rating: (6)	Hello all, I am developing a WinCC VBA Application to speed up the WinCCTrend configuration. I could easily manage to create WinCC Online Trend Control object and access its Geometric properties through VBA. What I could not achieve is accessing Control Properties through VBA. e.g.IfI try .HMIObjects("WinCC_Trend").Width = 200, it works but .HMIObjects("WinCC_Trend").index = 1 does not [:(] To sum it up, can you please guide me how to access Trend ActiveX Control Properties like index, Caption, Name, TagName etc. I tried Set objVariableTrigger = objHMIObject.index.CreateDynamic(hmiDynamicCreationTypeVariableDirect, 1) and it does not work may be it was a poor attempt [:blush:] Thanks. [:(] SetPropWord(Screen_Name, "Trend_Control_Name", "Index", 0); I had always thought that in VB it would be .HMIObjects("WinCC_Trend").Index = 1 Unfortunately I've never done that in VB... However this means that the settings are applied in runtime. I guess you want the trend configured in development too which is why you are using VBA. To access an ActiveX controls properties from VBA you simply use objects .Properties setting. e.g. [code] Dim objActiveXControl As HMIActiveXControl Set objActiveXControl = ActiveDocument.HMIObjects.AddActiveXControl("WinCC_Trend", "WinCC.TlgOnlineTrend.1") objActiveXControl.Width = 500 objActiveXControl.Height = 500 objActiveXControl.Properties("Index").value = 0 objActiveXControl.Properties("TagName").value = "my_archive\my_archive_tag" [/code]

Dim objActiveX As CCTLGONLINETRENDCTRLLib.CCTlgOnlineTrend Set objActiveX = objDoc.HMIObjects.AddActiveXControl("MyControl", "WinCC.TlgOnlineTrend.1") objActiveX.index =0 objActiveX.tagname ="Archieve/Tag" objActiveX.Name ="My Tag" This thing also works, thought I should share it with you.
