WinCC OPC Client Tags Address "Access Path"

AMJ Posts: 87 Rating: (1)	Dear Experts, I am using WinCC V6.2 as opc client. The OPC server is another non siemens application running in some another PC. I have configured the connection and also getting the status connected OK in driver connection status. I have also confirmed the DCOM settings. but in this I can not read or write any tags of this connections.In address properties of those tags there is one field called "Access Path" I dont know what to fill in this Access path. Can anyone tell me how these tags can be addressed in their properties? awaiting your response? AMJ

Sally Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Dear AMJ ; the solution for this problem is very simple u have another field calld " Item Name" , u must write the path for ur tag in this field for example : DeviceName.ChannelName.TagName i have OPCX Server with WinCC and it works very well i hope this will help ur problem and if there is any problem just ask and i hope to find an answer for u
