WINCC PRO 15.1 and VPN - Simatic Shell cannot see the PC and I cannot download the software

I have the same problem, the server is in another part of the world and i have a VPN connection. With VPN I can ping the server, I put also the name of the pc into the file hosts and I can access through the pc name in explorer, but Simatic Shell cannot see the PC and I cannot download the software... why?! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from WINCC PRO 15.1 - download project via VPN.

First you have to think about Portrange for communication, if you work with an open Port Range then its OK but if you cannot work with an open Port range with Routers and Firewalls then you have to work with an enchrypted communication over a specific port in the Simatic Shell. Second ist you have to set the Multicast Proxy and the Multicast Lifecycle on Both sides. Bye Murof
