Hello everyone

I'm working in project in TIA 16 and the simulation suddenly stopped working.

frankly enough, there are no errors, please see attached picture.

I tried the following steps but none worked:

1- rebuild all (both PLC and PC-SCADA).

2- delete IM folder and rebuild all.

3- copy project files to another folder and opening the new project.

I tried opening a another project and i had no problem opening the simulation so this problem is relevant to this exact project.

I would appreciate if you give me any suggestion

Have you tried opening the same project on another PC?

I would not rule out a complete reinstallation of the software

atm i dont have another PC to try it in but i will try to reinstall the program after i exhaust every possible option i have.

the strange thing is as i mentioned the the original post, i tried another project and it worked just fine, meaning the problem is related to my specific project.

i also tried making a copy of the project files and them opening the new copy as a new project but i got the same problem.

Although it seems that it is something specific to the project, it may be due to an incorrect installation of the software. It is certainly an anomalous behavior, so I would not rule out the option of reinstalling.

Another option, perhaps less drastic but also less effective, would be to update the software to the latest released update (in case you don't already have it). It is possible that this Update restores internal files that may be causing the unexpected end of the Runtime.

If not, I would try to reinstall completely.

I installed TIA portal outside of the virtual machine that I was working in and that fixed the problem.

the strange thing is, although when opening an old project (other than the one that had the problem), this old project worked well and had no problem with SCADA simulation.

after that I created a new test project and got the same problem
