at one of our customers we have an installation with a wincc server and 5 clients. once in a while a client can no longer write tags to the server. data can still be read and the scripts still work. for example a button is pressed but the tag is not written.

when the client PC has been completely restarted, the client will work properly again.

specifications;

Server:
Wincc professional
Windows server 2012R2

Clients:
Wincc client
Windows 10

configure with TIA Portal V14 SP1 update 6

does anyone have a solution for this problem?

How did you stat the client for the first time?

The correct procedure for the first startup is: From SIMATIC Shell > Interconnect

This procedure ensures that the client-server connection is stable.

On the other hand, make sure that you have the same versions (including updates) on both client and  server.
