WinCC Professional V13 SP1 – Simple Sample: Recipes Data Queries

“Simple Samples” are small projects that demonstrate simple features. The target is give a quick overview about the theme and be used as start point for related discussions. Follow there are a short description and the configuration main steps.

Description:

A recipe data query is a set of recipe elements from various recipes. With the help of data query you can get all relationships of elements of one (or more) recipes.

In this simple sample, it is possible to work with recipes (create, edit, upload, download) and recipe query.

Requirements:

WinCC Professional V13 SP1.

Configuration main steps:

• As start point, it was created two recipes with the respective elements and referenced controller tags:

  • Recipe_1 elements (name, display name, tag):

    • Recipe_element_1 element_1_Tag_1 PLC_Tag_1

    • Recipe_element_2 element_2_Tag_2 PLC_Tag_2

    • Recipe_element_3 element_3_Tag_3 PLC_Tag_3

  • Recipe_2(name, display name, tag):

    • Recipe_element_1 element_1_Tag_4 PLC_Tag_4

    • Recipe_element_2 element_2_Tag_5 PLC_Tag_5

      Recipe_element_3 element_3_Tag_6 PLC_Tag_6

Many Data Record was created for both recipes.

• Create a Data Query (project tree, HMI → Recipes → Recipe Query (tab) → <add new> (see figure 1.jnp): Recipe_query_1 was created)

• Pick recipes elements to the data Query (project tree, HMI → Recipes → Recipe Query (tab) → Element Tab → <add new> (see figure 1.jnp)

• Create Relations / Statements for the picked elements (project tree, HMI → Recipes → Recipe Query (tab) → Properties (see figure 2.jnp)

• Place a Recipe control in a screen (toolbox → Controls → Recipe view)

• Configure the recipe control to work as Recipe Query / Recipe_query_1 (Object properties → General → data source = Recipe_query_1
