Hello all,

I'm using wincc professional V17, and when I try to import an svg file some weird white lines appear.

The system notifies me with "SVG file was converted to SIEMENS SVG, I think it goes wrong in that conversion.

In this picture I opened the svg in an svg viewer.

This is the picture in wincc, where you can see two white lines have been created.

I'm looking for a solutiond and hope anyone here is able to help me out.

you should verify, your SVG file is okay. You can do this using the W3C Markup Validation Service. I also made very good experiences in using the SVG Optimizer. If the error still occurs, you can use the Export Graphics Tool to export the graphics from the "Graphics Collection" and test the Siemens SVG.

My svg file seem to be ok, when I export the svg files from my project and open it in the SVG optimizer everything there's no white lines either and in the validation everything is good.

do you see those artifacts only in engineering or also in the runtime?

Can you post your original SVG file?

Will try optimizing it with Inkscape. I'm not sure what you mean with checking the header actually, I'm not so into the svg files.

the SVG file is valid, but it has a lot of - let's call it - "open paths". I mean there are path elements inside which are not for one continuous path, they contain multiple paths. Maybe that's the reason of the issue.

Where is the file from? How was it created? Maybe, the creator can provide a better version.

Of course, you can also create a support request to ask Siemens.

The file is originally a DWG file, which is opened in adobe illustrator and exported as SVG.

I would suggest you to edit the image and simplify the paths.
