I need to modifidy a project created with Wincc Prof V14.1. Can I do it by using a V15? I need to keep runtime version V14.1 in order to avoid changing the installed runtime key. I underestand I can select the runtime version in the project and can generate runtime files for older versions, is that right?

Other question is regarding what setps should I take to backup runtime project before modifying it, so in case something go wrong I can activate the backup. What is the recommended way to handle runtime project so I can activate one of them quickly. The idea is to perform small modifications to the project an test it in the OS station so that in case something goes wrong I can activate a backup.

Yes, you can work with a V14.1 project in V15.1. When you will open your project in V15.1 the project will be migrated to V15.1 but the firmware will not change. This is optional.

Thank you CGA81. I already red that FAQ but it doesn't explain how to restore the bakup in the runtime system. Is there any pdf that explains this topic for Wincc Profecional and Wincc Advanced? I want to be sure I can roll back to a running project.
