Hello.

I am having a problem downloading the Wincc Professional (V17 Upd 6) project from my engineering laptop (Latest Win 10 Pro) to the runtime PC (Siemens, Windows 10 Enterprise 1809).

Error I am getting when I try to download is : Loading is not possible. Verify that WinCC Runtime is installed on the target device and check the firewall settings on the target device.

Switching off the firewall on both PCs doesn't help. Downloading the project to the file system (shared folder) works without problems and runtime opens without problems. But everything has to be done manually.

I think that I have checked all the points from this page, except that .net framework is newer version : Wincc download

Using encrypted communication in the Simatic shell doesn't help either. Simatic shell "see" wincc runtime on OS.

In the wireshark capture on OS and ES I can see some RPC being executed, but I am not able to make any sense of data there.

I have tried downloading a runtime program to another PC with the same configuration, and the error was the same.

I had similar problems with Wincc 15.1 before, but I was usually able to solve them after some time.

Does anyone have any other ideas? What else could I try ?

I will consider contacting technical support.

One thing I remembered is that PLC Sim is not working on this PC eather. No PLC sim interface is listed in SET PG/PC interface, I am not sure if these two things might be connected.

When I told them I have verified all of the points, they told me that I need to pay for additional support.

Reinstalling TIA solved problem.

DO you have tested with deactivated Anti VirusSW and Firewall?

Do you have set the lmhosts files as suggested in the FAQ?

Can you see also the ES from OS in Simatic Shell?

Do you use the latest Update for your used TIA Version in ES and OS?

 Thanks. I have also faced the same issue. After deactivating antivirus download again and it worked.
