WinCC Project Activates and Deactivates

Chris_GR Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello since many experienced users(much more than I am)may see the thread i would like to hear any idea for what could be wrong. The problem: In the company that i work a Wincc v6 SP4 project is being worked in several computers. If the TagLogging option is enabled in Runtime the Project stops while activating, in my computer just stops there in another after a while automatically deactivates without any error message. The weird thing is that it doesen't happen in all of the company's PCs (All PCs have WinXP SP2). For this issue i have found only one possible solution concerning MS Message Queuing Services + Triggers but it didn't work. Any idea would be greatly accepted! Thank you for your time. Chris

Chris_GR Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hello again and excuse me for my delay. 1) Reply to Nemo: Tried it and nothing different happened ( also the project is created in WinCC 6 so i don't think there is any migration issue). 2)Reply to Danielle: I have done many - many restarts! The weird thing that I noticed is that even with a new project if the tag logging in runtime is selected the same thing happens. The problem continued after i uninstalled and reinstalled WinCC. What logs would you like me to post? Thank you both for your time. Best regards, Chris

However this could be misleading as you have the problem with new projects. So, can you do the following : 1. Close WinCC 2. Delete all files from the Diagnose directory 3. Create a new project 4. Create one internal tag,an archive tag, enable Tag Logging Runtime and then activate the project. 5. If the fault stil occurs then please zip the contents of the Diagnose directory and post here. Chris_GR Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hi Salma, I m sorry but I have made a mistake here: As said in my first post there are 2 different cases of the problem. 1)PC that project activates+deactivates 2)PC that project stops in activation procedure. In case (2) a new project also stops in activation procedure, BUT in case (1) from wich the log that I previously posted belongs hasn't got any problem with a new project. I think that it would be better to focus to case (1) as it seems like a more "healthy" behaviour! So I should rephrase the problem: A WinCC project activates+deactivates (see previous log) but with a new project there is NOT any problem. Thanks again, Chris

April Posts: 1776 Rating: (95)	Hi Chris, In case 2 it seems Your installation is corrupted. Maybe that reinstall WinCC is not enough. So You have to install also the Windows and this stuff. Have a look at the readme Dont forget to create images after installing Windows and after Installing WinCC. That makes live easier. In case 1 maybe Your project is corrupted. Do You have an backup? Use this. Good luck
