Wincc question

 I have been trying to connect an ion 8400 meter, which is made by power management, to wincc to get the tags connected.  The ion meter is used to measure different parameters of alternating current.  I have the ion meter connected though ethernet, and is caplable of DNP3 and modbus.  But I was told that you could some how connect it through OPC, but I'm not sure how to get the ion 8400 meter to work with OPC.  I have searched and search and cannot find anything information about this, I am an intern and I'm trying to impress my boss so any help would be much appreciated.
