What I plan to do is develop my app using WinCC on my development box and install the runtime software on my runtime box. What I am struggeling with is the beginning steps to create this project in TIA protal. Specifically, choosing components in the hardware configuration, Example: do I insert the runtime component or a generic PC into the hardware configuration? Is there any getting started infromation for WinCC Professional V12 that details deploying to a generic PC for runtime? thank you in advance...

K!ke Posts: 1299 Rating: (136)	Hello, this depends on your hardware. if your runtime system is a simatic pc you choose this one as hardware and add the runtime system in device view. if it's a generic pc you can do both, either you insert a generic pc and add the runtime component manually or you choose directly the runtime component and it will add the pc automatically. you also need to add a communication module with which your runtime pc will communicate with the s7-300.
