Hi all,

I'm having some issues sending/ receiving (I/O fields in the HMI only read "###") data between WinCC RT Advanced running on my computer (that I also use for programming) and a physical PLC. I have tried starting RT by both the "Start simulation" option and the "Start Runtime on the PC" option.

The PLC: 6ES7 513-1AL02-0AB0

The HMI: IPC677C (6AV7894-xxxx-xxxx) with WinCC RT advanced.

They are connected through an unmannaged switch.

I can ping the PLC and a VFD from the PC, and the PLC can communicate with the VFD.

No luck. I did try several access points and interface parameter assigments.

By Windows Network Center, do you mean the Network connections as shown below?

I cannot find any install nammed Simatic Net. I have used my computer as the HMI test station for other projects, but that was on a 300 CPU a while back. If Simatic Net would have been required then also?

Yes, and the tags for the HMI are in the "HMI_Connection_1":

Edit: I tried without the optimized block adress enabled also, and changing "Access mode" in connections from symbolic to absolute, but it did not help.

My intention with the password was the normal protection I am used to from V14 on 300 CPU's. Seems it is slightly different in  V16/ 1500 CPU's:

I had to change the access level from "No access" to "HMI acess".
