Hi!

I have a project to connect an ABB Freelance SCADA system to a WinCC RT Professional system. I have to use OPC server and client. The two systems aren't in the same computer. The server is OPC DA.

The ABB computer is the OPC Server. The TiaPortal computer is the Client.

I am able to reach the Remote server with Kepware Client on the TiaPortal PC. So i think the DCOM settings are good. The problem is that the TiaPortal can't see the server. Are there any settings inside the TiaPortal which can makes issues to can't see a remote server?

I tried to use OPC Expert with a tunnel. It worked good, the TiaPortal could see the tunneled server, but if i think it good, the OPC Expert has a time limit while it works.

Is there anyone who can help me with this project? I ran out of ideas.

The Freelance has an OPC Tunnel software, but i was not able to use it, I made the tunnel at the Server side, but from the client side it can't communicate with the Tunnel Server.

I have similar Problem.

I am not able to connect WinCC as OPC client to Kepware OPC DA server.

Is WinCC required OPC client driver?
