I am working with Server-Client wincc professional v15. 

I configured two servers with the redundancy option and they work. 

When I try to start the client from "WinCC RT start" application  an error occurs "Wincc cannot open the project - invalid project path".

I can reach the server shared folder and I am logged with same user as the server. I am also able to see in the simatic shell the two servers. 

Anyone knows about other settings on the client PC needed for this application?

WinCC client operating system is Win10 pro.

WinCC server operating system is windows server 2016.

If I launch directly from the simatic shell the server program by click the option "interconnect" the client start whitout any problems.

I am also not able to save the autostart configuration in WinCC RT start, After closing it and restart the option results disabled.

  thanks for your reply.

I follwed every step as showed in the post, but my problem is still present.

- Name resolution by File lmhosts modified in each PC (client/server)

- System  IP configuration checked is reported below:

SERVER 1: 192.168.11.1 (CLIENT LAN) and 192.168.12.1 (PLC LAN)

SERVER 2: 192.168.11.5 (CLIENT LAN) and 192.168.12.5 (PLC LAN)

CLIENT 1: 192.168.11.11 (CLIENT LAN)

CLIENT 2: 192.168.11.12 (CLIENT LAN)

CLIENT 3: 192.168.11.13 (CLIENT LAN)

- Simatic shell: in each PC I can see all the others by using the network card in the CLIENT LAN field;

- USER: I am logged in each PC with the same account that is member of the very same groups;

I am able to ping between each other every PC directly with the name as described in the post 108464289 ;

But up to now the only way ot start the project view on the client pc is to go directly in the simatic shell and by right click on the server 1 select INTERCONNECT, The system ask me the wincc credentials and then the project runs.

I am not able to figure out which is the setting that I am missing. Probably something not written in the manuals

I don't understand why winCC RT let me set the autostart with the path but when I restart the application this option shows up as disabled everytime.

I fixed it by saving in the very same path the project on the two server.

Before I was loading the project  on the same folder, but with different path made by shortcut on this folder.....

After loading the project with the very same path the systems started to work properly, also the automatic start of clients....
