WinCC+S7-200+Modem Radio

kukukk Posts: 133 Rating: (5)	Hy! How can I connect an S7-200 station to a WinCC using radio modems with RS232 intarface? On S7-200 side, this is not a problem, I can connect the module to Port 0 or Port 1 configured as free port. But on WinCC side? I think CPU224XP --- CP243-1 --- Ethernet->RS232 Adaptor --- Modem Radio .......................... Modem Radio --- WinCC, using Industrial Ethernet as communication protocol and Simatic Net OPC Server, and WinCC as OPC Client is a working solution, but this is very complicated :}} So... There is any solution for this problem? (CPU224XP ---RS232--- Modem Radio .................. Modem Radio ---RS232--- WinCC) Or, If I write a program in Delphi, C++, C#, etc..., for communication, Can I set the tags in WinCC, so there is possible to set WinCC tags from an external program? PS. I have 12 S7-200 stations Thanks in advance, Balogh Szabolcs

I have to load the command library for the Modbus protocol into the CPU, and I need the Modbus Serial channel for WinCC from www.allmendinger.de Somebody has any experience in this configuration? It is a working solution?

PS. I have 12 S7-200 stations Thanks in advance, Balogh Szabolcs Hi Balogh, Can't you switch to a Profibus-DP radio / gateway? This would be another solution, but you'd need a CP on the WinCC side. I found this post which mentions both CP243 and RS232/485 + PC Access software... This is on WinCC + DP + S7-200. This is on WinCC + Ethernet + S7-200. This is also on ethernet, and this FAQ. Some more on WinCC + S7-200. Here's how to acces S7-200 on WinCC. In the end all you need is to choose a protocol, and find a radio with it. Since the radio will only provide the media the protocol won't really matter. Remember that RS232 is only a physical standard to an interface, it's not a protocol. Best regards, Danielle
