WinCC Tag Retrieval

RacEcaR Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hey Everyone, I'm new. I am working with WinCC Asia 6.2 ; Step7 ; a touch panel pc ; 315-2 ; 343-1. I have the WinCC and S7 installed on separate machines. I am communicating with the PLC via USB-MPI. The 343-1 is on a network through a switch with the panel PC.(nothing else on that network) I loaded an existing project into the PLC in hopes to retrieve the tags and put them into my new WinCC project. I cannot figure out a way to see the PLC through WinCC NCM. I've set up the network within S7. I cannot set up the network within WinCC because I do not have the option of inserting the 315-2 and in turn the 343-1 into NetPro. I tried moving the S7 project over to the WinCC machine and when I try to copy and paste the 300 rack, WinCC tells me I do not have the correct software package installed and that it cannot move the tags. The accessible nodes within NCM does not locate the PLC within the network and I cannot get the tags that way. Do you have any solutions, maybe point me to a good FAQ? -Andre

RacEcaR Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	So the best way to do this would be: Install WinCC on the S7 machine. Move the WinCC license. Move the WinCC project. Integrate the project(s). Move the WinCC project. Move the WinCC license. I have to do this once to link the majority of the tags. What if down the road another PLC needs to be added, they need to do the same thing again?
