WinCC TagLogging disables communication

himexpert Posts: 30 Rating: (1)	Hi All!! I'm working on projectof WinCC + V6.0 + SP4 in which i'm communicating myWinCC PC with PLC 315-2 DP throughUSB MPIAdapter. I'vemade about 456 archive tags in taglogging, acquisition cycle for each is 500ms. Now inmy PG/PC interface i've made setting such that WinCC(MPI) ---> PC adapter (MPI). As soon as i make my WinCC online with PLC it is not communicating with PLC my connection status is fluctuating i.e.Disconnect & O.K. But when i make a 'save as' project without Taglogging it is communicating well. Other details are - i've about 2047 external tags, 250 screens & 3 global scripts & license of 8K. Can somebody tell what could the reason for these & what are remedies. Please help me out as my reporting part depends ont this issue. Thanks, himexpert.

Sometimes the DB's in the PLC are not updated... Have you made sure this isn't happening? Andi knowi've to buy license for just temperory viewing of project butis this problem arising by running WinCC in demo mode. Please go through the diagnosis filesfrom around thistime2007-07-30 18:29:50. Can u help me out as i'm also unable to do communication with WinCC licensed PC with PN/DP PLC or CP5611 card. Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, Your logs are almost clean, then... they only show you had a connection problem. Have you made sure there are absolutely no tags in WinCC accessing DB positions, or DB's which haven't been created in the PLC (the PLC's DB's must be updated, and the WinCC tags must be poiting to the right places, all of them.. sometimes the DB's in the PLC are a little shorter than they should be)? To test this you can backup your project, and then delete all tags you've created on your last modification... If all you changed in that modification was adding tag logging, it shouldn't affect the communication... I found this FAQ regarding communication error codes... your code isn't there... Yes Danielle u were right there were some tags whose addresses were not in PLC. So first of all thank u for giving me proper guidance. but sad news was that even i corrected the tags accordingly my communication was disabling continously. So as per my doubt i made all my archive's(246 taglogging) acquisition cycle from 500ms to 1 second. This solved my problem. Thanks, himexpert.
