WINCC TIA process control PC powers itself off

Hello,

our wincc-pc at a plant has been powering itself off a couple of time during last week, after running without problems for 2 months. It has happened always during evening/night-time, so the operators haven't been witnessing any cause for the shutdown. There have been no known electrical issues.

I'm thinking if there could be a possibility of a software (step7/wincc) error causing the power off.

After the first time this occurred, there was an error message after restart on the screen (see attachment). It says "error code unknown", "program: pniopcac.exe / file ...pcsrt_sysadapt.cpp" . All I could find out about it is that it is some siemens program.

So if anyone could diagnose from that message whether a siemens software could be the reason the pc is powering off or not, and if, how to fix it?

I personally suspect that the pniopcac error is more likely resulting from the power off than causing it, but I would like to have another opinion...
