WinCC Trends response time

mglmansilla Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am working with an analog process value and I have configured a trend with that value. I change the value of the input and I can see about 3 seconds of delay before the trend is updated. Can I reduce the updating time in the object of the trend ??? Any idea, advice, suggestion ??? If not... mmm... you've got short acquisition and archive cycles... is there only 1 trend in that window? What's the x-axis range (how much time are you querying?) And does it take long to load the trend (in this case it would take some time till the trend window was fully loaded, but if you change something at 00:00:00 the trend would show the change at the right time) or to archive (in this case when you change something at 00:00:00 the trend would only show the new value at 00:00:03)? How are you changing the value (from WinCC or in Step7)? Is there much data being archived? Is all of the system slow, or is it just trend display? What I mean is when you change the data from Step7 and it's being displayed in an I/O Field in the same trend screen does it update fast? Are there other software connected to your SQL, either importing, exporting or querying data at all? Best regards, Danielle

mglmansilla Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	Hi, it's cyclic and not event controlled. Now I have created a new WinCC project. I am working with few external tags, I have created a new picture with only one trend and a I/O field for checking the value of the variable. I am working with PLC-Sim, i'm using that tool for change the values. I think the trouble is in the WinCC Online Trend Control, it's slow, the I/O field is updated very fast using the same variable. There is no parameter in that control for reducing the response time or i didn't find it. I want to work with this emulating a paper recorder, but it's very slow, may be that's not the purpose of this control, i don't know. There is no other software connected to SQL Server. You find that option in Graphics Desginer. View-->Properties -->Miscellaneous-->Update Cycle Take one of the following number. Number Time 1 250ms 2 500ms 31s 4 2s (Standard) 5 5s I think, that should help. Best regards cumulus

mglmansilla Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have tested using 0 (upon change), 1, 2, 3 ... there is no change, the trouble is in the refreshing of the trend control, it updates the values every a second and i need something faster. I have asked to the technical support, i am waiting an answer. Thanks Miguel
