Hello, In WinCC Unified V19, I would like to make the logging of hmi tags visible in trends for at least 1 year, so I set the log time period to 365 days with 7 days segments. In a data log i have about 60 tags with which I see a trend for about 1 month. The maximum log size is now about 10GB and the maximum segment size is 1GB. Mostly i have real tags, logically if I have less tags, more time to see them back. I use SQLite. It would be logical to increase the log size even more, but I'm not sure if it's worth it What should I do to get at least 1 year of logging? Is it worth switching to Microsoft SQL Database? Thank you very much in advance! |

Hi, Please see the sizing guidelines for the log and each segment on page 89 of the sample application below: Configuring Logging for SIMATIC WinCC Unified Systems With SQLite, the limit for log and segment size is limited by the underlying file system. Additionally, please note that SQLite allows a maximum of 5,000 logging tags, while SQL Server allows the maximum number of configurable PowerTags. Further information can be found here: SIMATIC HMI WinCC Unified V19 > Logging data - How it works |
