Hi, I am new to OPC UA communication. I would like to program an interface in WinCC Unified for a desktop PC that gets its data from an OPC UA server. Is this possible just with WinCC unified and without any PLC that sits inbetween the OPC UA server and the WinCC user interface?

In my understanding, WinCC Unified should act as a OPC UA client. However, I was unable to find any useful documentation that explains how to set this up. Is this possible? And if so, can you hint me to some Siemens documentation where this is explained? I cannot find these things on the official Siemens website.

I am just searching for the offical documentation, with set up guides, examples, and basic explanations to get something running. I was also unable to find any kind of online documentation like a language reference, or guide like this C++ Language Reference | Microsoft Learn
