WinCC Unified – Simple Sample: changing an object color

“Simple Samples” are small projects that demonstrate simple features. The target is giving a quick overview about the theme and be used as start point for related discussions. Follow there are a short description and the configuration main steps.

Dynamic representations are a very important part of HMI / SCADA System. There are many elegant ways to show dynamic status, like Dynamic Widget, Text List, Graphic List, etc. Sometimes however what we need is just change an object color dynamically. It could be done using its “BackColor” property, for example.

It is possible to control the “BackColor” property linking it with a tag, using the system function “SetPropertyValue” or by Scripting. This Simple sample shows how to do it in these three ways.
