I was pretending to do an script to evaluate a bit status into a tag, to perfrom some action, in a similar way as many HMI controls does, like to change position, color, etc.

I did not found any system function to read a specific bit, so I sorted out by masking.

Below simple sample code from what I did.

This sample evaluates bit 6 from given tag, to modify object position depending if it is true or false.

Is there some more efficient or better way to proceed?

you can do it without scripts (unless you are using V16)
