WinCC V12 Professional desperately slow graphics

Nikzitronik Posts: 150 Rating: (17)	Dear All I have used winCC V12 professional for the first time at a site. All in all it is ok except that the runtime is slow updating the graphics. When it starts it takes 10-20sec to get the visualisation running. I have quite a few screen windows with their visibility set to 0 and then I use a button (setpropertybyconstant) setting the visibility of the screen window to TRUE. When the screen window opens it takes 5-10sec to update the graphics (e.g. animations, colors, visibility etc). The pictures in the screen windows have a screen cycle of 2 seconds. In my Startup screen I have set the screen cycle to 250ms and still it takes forever to get the animations running. I have a few icons where I control their visibility with a script. The script trigger is set to automatic, but I notice that the icon is very slow (it should flash at 1Hz but it doesnt). The I/O fields however are updating fast as they should be. Any Ideas as to what the problem may be? It is really frustrating as there was no issue in that respect with WinCC v7. I forgot to mention that WinCC communicates with 3xS7-1200 and 1xS7-300 via ethernet.

In this case it could increasethe performance if you change the resolution of the original files instead of changing it in wincc. K!ke

After a lot of testing we discovered that certain types of objects can slow down the screen loading time also certain objects and scripting can slow down the read time for all the tags on a screen. Are you using native objects with the built in animation dialogs or are you using scripts and faceplates etc...

If possible split your window in parts and try to avoid of using several screens i.e 6-7 screens using visiblity on and off. bacause it also affact on total screen loading. hope it will helpful to you. thanks
