WinCC V13 SP1 Update 1, I can't edit or add anything to my faceplates

Hello LukeWC,

I'm struggling with a similar issue... I've upgraded our software from V13 to V13 SP1 Update 1 and now I can't edit or add anything to my faceplates... The software just freezes up then crashes!!! I've tried on several machines and still the same issue!!!! Does anyone have same issue?!?

I haven't noticed any crashes (associated with just editing Faceplates at least...)

My issue was fixed by deleting all the Events on the Faceplate then recreating and reconnecting them inside the Faceplate. I then had to reconnect all of the connections to the Faceplate instances!!

Not fun. But your situation seems even more of a pain. Hope someone can provide some input.

I haven't been able to recreate the situation in a scaled down version of my project but will keep an eye on it as I edit any more of my Faceplates and post any information I can.

Have you installed the Latest Updates for TIA V13? (SP1+UPD1)

If yes, you also need to update all the other SIEMENS SW Packages you have installed on your pc, otherwise there could be different problems... maybe also your problem

The current software on my machine is on WinnCC comfort and runtime... I've tried to remove the software completely and re-install everything from scratch with all the latest updates!! It only crashes when I add "Process Tags" to the interface... Only process tags, not background color or anything like that... Also crashes when I add new categories. Getting ready to snap! Its the only bug that I've found so far but haven't really ventured around! Thanks for the help

If you're still having issues try Update 2... It was just released and fixes some of the issues with faceplates! Didn't work for my issue but it might solve yours!

I have a similar problem.I added a new tag in the middle of already used DT and since that time I am in big troubles.

I cannot see one TAG of DT if I update UDT version in my facaplate and If I try to do any of the following actions TIA crashes:

- rolling back to usage of the previous UDT in my faceplate
- trying to delete the new problematic faceplate version (which is in "work state")
- trying to archive the project

The main problem is that SIEMENS support told me they were able to work with my project without any problem :-(

1. I got my project back compiled by SIEMENS but still the same problem.

2. Uninstalling WinCC didn´t help neither.

I am not able if the problem is related to v13 SP1 Upd2 because I have just added new fields to UDTs so far. This is the first time I tried to insert a TAG in the middle.

Any advice? Any Idea?
