I'm would like to active WinCC TIA V13 OPC Server for the SCADA project.

However, The service of OpcUaServerWinCCPro could not start.The status is service is "paused".

The error message pop up as pic when i restart the service.

Please advise.

Yes, It stated is DCOM issue.

But i dont know where it come from.

Don't play with WinCC OPC Service. Whenever you put SCADA in runtime, immediately it will start. Manually don't restart the service. It always give you error.

Which OPC type do u want to use. DA or UA.

If it is UA then DCOM settings are not mattering.

only Host name or IP address is important. While using UA , yoy have three type of possibilities.a) no security b) User Administration and c) Certificate exchange 

If its DA service then its important that client is also running on same server PC or other PC.

If its local pc then while WinCC installation only it will take care about DCOM or manually you can check DCOM setting which is mentioned in WinCC manual under OPC channel chapter.

If its DA service and client is on other PC then you need to do proper DCOM setting.

Remote Desktop service is also not allowed in WinCC , it will create problem in OPC communication also.

2nd issue: I can't select OPC UA (only have OPC option)under communication driver when i like to create a OPC server connection.

Then your 80% headache is gone, if its OPC UA then.

Only in runtime setting you need to enable OPC UA in WinCC project. Below that option only you will find different options and OPC Server URL as opc.tcp://[host name]:4862, que is that do you want to give security or none?.For testing say none

After successful testing then only  try with actual security by exchaging server client certificate. This procedure is mentioned in WinCC professional manual.

After enabling this service , just simple create 2 to 3 internal tag and put scada in runtime.

On same machine hope simatic net is installed then just open OPC scout.

By default you will see only OPC Da option, 2nd option is UA.

Here you have to add UA server.

opc.tcp://localhost:4862 or opc.tcp://[ip address of server pc]:4862  and discover it by clicking on discover button.

After WinCC Runtime activation then only WinCC OPC service will be start.
