WinCC V18 HMIRuntime.OLEAutomation exists or not exists

Hello;

In the documentation of the recent wincc unified V18, there are a some chapter about an OLEAutomation object exposed by HMIRuntime. These have also some examples that i copy here

 I use the wincc unified pc runtime, on a windows 10 PC.  developed with TIA PORTAL V18.

During engineering , when i try the example, the script editor report  a error about the OLEAutomation.

Someone can give me a clarification, the documentation is incorrect ?

can you provide further information about the error you receive?

For writing files like in the OLE example, you can also use the "WriteFile" method.

The error is:

In any case, I am not interested in the specific functionality of writing to a text file.

But the possibility of using OLE automation technology in a unified pc runtime.

This would allow me to use existing working components, that I already have.

I was able to find out that there is an error in the documentation, the chapter will be removed.

Ok there is an error in the documentation example, and you suggest to remove it. 

But my main question, as i explain beffore, OLE automation is possible or not ?

If there is a syntax error or different object name accessor, can you give me a correct example ?

Hi Eurodata,

as far as I know, OLEAutomation is not available in TIA Portal V18 and the OLEAutomation chapter should be removed from the documentation by the responsible person. You may want to create a support request to verify this information.
