WinCC v6.0 Global Script

henno2000 Posts: 177 Rating: (0)	Hi, Our project contains Global Script that transfers data to ther User Archives. There seemed to be a problem with the data transfer side because when the script was enabled, the table populated with data out of sequence, repetitions and blank rows. All associated scripting was disabled by commenting out the code. (/......../) A few days later the UA was checked and since the time of commenting out the code, all of data had been transferred across successfully with no errors. Within Runtime, I have place the GSC Runtime window, and it appears that the scripts are executing. (Which they will do, but should just return a zero because all of the code is commented out). When you un-comment the code, the data transfer to the UA is all messed up, but when you comment it out again everything is fine) How could this be? Could someone provide any explanation, or any advice how to solve this mystery? Regards, henno2000

That would allow others to test your code to determine if it is a programming fault or not. Salma

henno2000 Posts: 177 Rating: (0)	Hi, In the zip file I have attached the script used as well as the results that were written to the user archive and what was displayed in the runtime window in WinCC from the printf statements. Basically, the aim of the script is to transfer the contants of a user archive from one WinCC system, to another. These systems are independant and we have used an OPC connection to write the original values to tags on the other system. The script was running fine for about two weeks, then just went crazy for no apparent reason. There apears to be nothing out of the ordinary that triggered this. Do the commands for the connecting, opening, writing and closing of the user archives look OK? Is there anything else that I should be looking for, or is there a better way to solve this problem. henno2000 Posts: 177 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the reply. The configuration is as follows: For the main system (to which the UA are being screwed up) runs on a single server with three clients. The User Archive option is installed on all of the machines. (The reason for this is to enable us to view entries in a particular UA table within the WinCC environment). For the other system from which the data is being received, is a server only configuration with the UA option installed. With regards of redundancy, we have a 'ghosted' server ready to plug into the system should the original server fail, but is not currently online as it has the same IP address (which would obviusly cause comlications on the network Regards, henno2000
