Wincc V6.2 integrated with simatic manager

dilipan chakravarthy Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	dear all we are using simatic manager with wincc v6.2 as integrated We have created all the tags in the simatic manager with option operator and control monitoring and S7_m_c as true for the required tags This tags are created as structure tags the problems is that it is shown as process objects not as external tag similiarly when we create a new single user project in wincc v6.2 without integrated to simatic manager it appears as external tags not as process objects if we import the stand alone project to simatic manager then it converts to process objects we bought license for simatic manager and wincc RC V6.2, Wincc RT v6.2 when we go for runtime it is showing no license is there any other license we have to buy for using integrated wincc v6.2 with simatic manager regards dilipan

April Posts: 1776 Rating: (95)	Hi, Maybe you have not SIMATIC Manager native? If you have PCS 7 the count of the Variables is not by tags. It is Count by POs (Process Objects). So if you have integrated a WinCC project into PCS 7, the project is marked as PCS 7 OS and the license counting is count by POs. see chapter 2 in the following link http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24360717

Step by step, in a multiproject: Close all projects Close all programs. Delete all files in diagnose folder.(restart PC if needed) Open Simatic manager Open your project. In the left pane, select your OS-project. Right-click and select "Object Properties" In the dialog, select tab "General" At the feild "Use" select "STEP 7" (its a drop down list) This also applies on non-wincc parts of your project. This is how it works. Conclusion, its possible to mix STEP-7 and PCS7 licenses in the same project, and that is sometimes needed. //PerD
