Hello, We have a client server(redundant) configuration for WinCC v6.2. The next stations are configured: Client 1: BIO_CLNT01 à Windows XP Client 2: BIO_CLNT02 à Windows XP Server 1: BIO_SERV01 (preferred server) à Windows server 2003 Server 2: BIO_SERV02 à Windows server 2003 The communication between stations and S7-400 PLC is over Ethernet(switch).More information about WinCC and windows versions & SP & updates you can find into the attachement(INFO.ZIP) Assume the 2 servers are active and the 2 clienst are working with BIO_SERV01.If we switch off the BIO_SERV01, the BIO_SERV02 takes over. When we switch the BIO_SERV01 back ON,both Clients are switching during x minutes between BIO_SERV01 and BIO_SERV02. Sometimes the switching hold on for 1 minute another time 15 minutes???After that the clients choose for BIO_SERV01 or BIO_SERV02, it looks like the clients pick a server at random. When I stop the chosen server, the other server takes over without any problem. A serial cable from Siemens is used. I’ve tested with and without preferred server. Some remarks: 1) I’ve generated the redundant server with the “project duplicator” tool 2) The computers are in a workgroup ("WORKGROUP") 3) Simatic shell is OK 4) Speed Network cards à 100Mb/s Full Duplex 5) SP2 for WinCC6.2 isn’t installed Does somebody have some suggestions or solutions? Kind regards, Tom AttachmentINFO.zip (55 Downloads) |

Hi BIO_ENERGIE,This happens when there are errors in the project... Analyze your WinCC diagnose files. The following FAQ is useful: What do the entries with undocumented error codes in the WinCC diagnostics file "SIMATIC_S7_PROTOCOL_SUITE_01.LOG" mean? Regards |

I've checked the diagnose files already but didn't find anything special. The two servers seperate works fine, so I'll think the project is without errors. But I will send the last diagnose files later on this topic. Tom |
