WinCC V6.2 slow response

kukukk Posts: 133 Rating: (5)	Hello! I have a big problem, and I don't know how to resolve. I have made a WinCC project using WinCC V6.0 SP4 + Hotfix 2 on my PG. For the customer we bought WinCC V6.2 RT 128. When I tried my project on WinCC V6.2 sometimes it responed slowly. I have some button to change the screen. For the first and second click it changes the screen immidietly, but for the third click I have to wait 1 minute for response. On the PC I have Windows XP Professional + SP2, WinCC V6.2 RT 128 and Sinaut Micro SC 64. I have tried Project Migration, but the project behavior remained the same. For the first and second click it respond immidiatly, but after the next click I have to wait 55-60 seconds for replay. First I thought that the problem is with the PC, because it had only 512 mb memory, but when I tried on an another PC with 1 GB memory I had the same behavior. On either PC I had a fresh install of XP Professional + SP2, Message Queing, SQL Server 2005, Windows Hotfix, WinCC and SINAUT MICRO SC. To transfer the project, I have used the Project Duplicator -> Save As to my flash memory. And from the Flash memory copy to the new PC. It is correct? Or there is any other "official" way to move a project to the final PC? Help me please. What can I do? PS. Sorry for my english, but I hope you understand what is my problem. Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi Balogh, I've heard of cases where performing the migration again worked... you should try that. Also... you didn't have this problem under v6.0 SP4, right? Did you check compatibility with other Siemens software to upgrade the system? Have you ran the project under APDIAG, and checked the diagnose files? Best regards, Danielle

kukukk Posts: 133 Rating: (5)	Hy! I have checked the diagnostic files from C:/Program Files/Siemens/WinCC/Diagnostic/OPC_01.LOG and I have found the problem. The problem was that in WinCC V6.0 and WinCC V6.2 some functions are working different. In the project I have to monitorize 11 measaring points via SINAUT MICRO SC, but i have not defined the address for all tags, because I just wanted to test my program, and i was lazy. And I had a script in witch I verify the status of the tags. In WinCC V6.0 if the tag address is not specified it returns immidiatly a value, but in WinCC V6.2 if the tag address is not specified it return an error code after 7-8 seconds. And in that script I verify the status for 11 tags, but only for 4 tag I have defined the address. And for the rest (7 tags) the script was stopped for 7*7-8 = 50-55 seconds. Thanks for hints, Balogh Szabolcs PS: What do you mean about APDIAG? Application Window -> Global Script -> GSC Diagnostic? I have tried this under WinCC V6.0, but didn't recived any message. Under WinCC V6.2 I have not tried.

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi, GSCDiagnostics can find script errors, but not while switching pages... APDIAG can do that! You'll find APDIAG under "...\Siemens\WinCC\uTools"... so APDIAG is more thorough... Anyway... I'm glad to know you found the problem! Best regards, Danielle
