WinCC v6 Dynamic trending in runtime

Hi,

You have to write to the folowing (minimum) attributes of the trend control:

Index "0"
TagName "X"

and again for another trend
Index "1"
TagName "Y"

and so on and on....

I don't know if you have to trigger the Activate attribute but you can try if it works.

Here is a VB script you can use:

'Allocate our trend object
Dim Trends
'Get our trend control
Set Trends = ScreenItems("Trends")
'Delete any existing Trends
Trends.DeleteAll
'Add new trends (obviously you enter your own values here)
Trends.AddCurveItem(TrendName, Int(TrendColor), Int(RangeMin), Int(RangeMax), ArchiveTag)
Trends.AddCurveItem(...)
...

This allows you to add new trends. When using "Index" and "TagName" properties you can only modify the trends already in the control - you cannot add a new trend.

If you inspect the trend object in VBS editor of WinCC Graphics designer you can see all the other properties and functions of the Trend control (that you cannot see with the usual WinCC property box).
