WinCC V6 SP4 Get messageTag from Alarmlogging

Feffe Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, Is there anyone that know how to get the Messagetag from alarmlogging, so i can showthe tagnamein runtime when an alarm is activated. There is a"System block" in Alarmlogging that should show the messagetag, but it's not working. //feffe

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	From what I gather you're trying to show the tag as a message block, right? Probably to show the failure through the tag, instead of a User Text Block. I'm running a few tests here to try to get it to work, but my first configuration didn't get it to work either... [:(]

Feffe Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi Nemo, thanks for your help, but in this FAQ you don't get the Tagname of MessageTag i'm not interested in the value of a tag, it's the tagname i want. ex. In alarmlogging i setup an alarm on row 1(MsgNr 1) and there i have a MessageTag that trigger the alarm. That Tagname i want to get in runtime, when i in a script refering to the Msgnr. //feffe

The help file states that this is included for future use! So you have two options : 1) Use an ODK function to get the alarm details, including the tagname * 2) Create a User Text Block that contains the tagname. You can do this easily using the Excel Configuration Tool. Just export your alarms to Excel and copy the MessageTag column to the User Text Block column. * The ODK is an option for WinCC. http://www.siemens.com/wincc/options
