I had done a project in which i integrated wincc version 7.0 sp3 project with Simatic manager step 7 version 5.5 project. Now i want to integrate wincc version 7.0 sp3 project with Simatic Step 7 professional v12 sp1 project. Is there any way to integrate?

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (117)	WinCC Professional V12 SP1 is the way to integrate the HMI with Step 7 Professional V12 SP1. Your WinCC V7.0 SP3 project can be migrated to V12 SP1 with some exceptions, like Basic Process Control, WinCC Redundancy, and Multi-Client.Is there anything specific you are trying to achieve with the integration? Hassan Raza Posts: 102 Rating: (2)	Well, I developed a program in step 7 version 5.5 sp 1 and the corresponding hmi in wincc scada version 7.0 sp3. Now i want to run the same program in step 7 professional version 12 (TIA Portal) but i still want to run my hmi in wincc scada version 7.0 sp3. Therefore i am asking is there any way to run an hmi in wincc scada version 7.0 sp3 while the coding is in step 7 professional version 12 (TIA portal)?

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (117)	You can certainly program the PLC in Step 7 Professional V12 SP1. You will just have to "manually" create the tags in WinCC. Manually can include using the EXIM tag utility. Good Luck billwest

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (117)	Section 3.10.1 of the WinCC Professional V12 SP1 manual details the procedure for installing and removing the Migration Tool. The following link gives you the location of the Migration Tool on the installation DVD. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/58999825. Try to re-install the Migration tool and perform the migration again. Chapter 4 of the manual has details on migrating the project. Good Luck billwest

I made a project using Step 7 version 5.5 and Wincc Scada version 7.0. As you know in step 7 version 5.5, we can integrate the wincc version 7.0 project. Now i want to migrate my code to step 7 profesional version 12. but i want to use wincc scada version 7.0 with step 7 v 12. How can i integrate my wincc scada version 7.0 project in step 7 v12 like we integrate wincc in step 7 v5.5?? Is this possible?? Thanx

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (117)	The first thing on migrating a project is to do the "Check block consistency" on the blocks folder. Compile, fix errors and compile until the "Check block consistency" is error free. Remove the WinCC project and migrate the Step 7 project. This should result in a successful migration. Check the hardware configuration and compile, rebuild all, the PLC project after the migration. From the screen shot of the license problem I noticed the WinCC project used Basic Process Control, which is not supported in TIA Portal yet. I assume this is why you want to use the V7.0 project. There is no way to physically integrate the V7.0 project with the Portal project. Regards, billwest

Then how can i run hmi on wincc using two softwares i.e, step 7 professional version 12 and wincc scada version 7.0? Do i have to create the tags manually for wincc ? how it will be done?

billwest Posts: 510 Rating: (117)	WinCC can connect to the PLC(s) regardless of the PLC programming package. You simply configure the Connection in WinCC Tag Management. As for the tags, you can manually enter the tags or you can use the Tag Export Import tool. The Tool is in the SIMATIC, WinCC, Tools folder. When I use the Tag Export Import, I will enter one tag of each tag type that I will be using into WinCC. Next I use the Export Import tool to export the tags from WinCC. It creates a CSV file. The tags exported provide a template for the configuration of each tag type. I then use Excel to do the bulk tag entry. When that is complete, I use the Export Import tool to import the tags into WinCC. Good Luck billwes
