WinCC WAN communication

kukukk Posts: 133 Rating: (5)	Hello! The situation: 8 hydropower plant stations with 1-2 PLC and 1 PC for local control and 1 PC at the dispatching unit. Both PC are running WinCC. For communication between the PLC's and the local PC I want to use PC Access. But I don't know how can I realize the communication between the local WinCC stations and dispatching unit's WinCc station. The communication support is a dedicated line with a maximum speed at 9600 bps. I think this speed is too low for a client-server type connection. What are the solutions for connecting 2 WinCC Station using WAN communication? Can I use TIM modules for this? If yes, what kind of hardware and software I have to use? The following configuration is correct? WinCC - Sinaut ST7cc - TIM32 (with dedicated line modem) ------------- dedicated telephone line ------------ TIM32 (with dedicated line modem) - Sinaut ST7cc - WinCC I have to buy the Sinaut ST7 standard software package to configure the TIM module or it is only required for Step7 (if I want to use TIM with S7-300)? I am sorry to ask so many questions :}} so as a single question: What are the solutions for communication between 2 WinCC stations using WAN technologies? Thanks in advance Szabolcs Balogh

For WAN communication: I can't use WebNavigator, because I need a WinCC station at the dispatchning unit (I need to store alarms and events, to show graphs (without online connection to the power plant) and I have to co-ordinate the whole hydropower cascade)
