Hello Experts, We have 840Di with PCU 50. Today when machine power is switched ON, following window displayed after booting but prior to loading Sinumerik data. Developed for Siemens - AG Developed for SIEMENS AG has encountered a problem & needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. When entered INPUT key again following window displayed. mgkrnl.exe has generated error & will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being reated. Does any one has encounetered such problem ever before? What is the significance of this error? Where I can see this error? Any help or suggestion in this matter shall be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance. DEEP. |

Hello, I am not sure but this type of problems come when somthing is wrong on MPI or Device bus. Or it might be harddisk bad sector problem.

Hi, Deep, do you mean after 4 years, that problem happened again? My shop has only one 840Di controlled m/c, a lot of trouble--2 or 3 times every year.But I never have the problem like you have. |

Hello, Yes, once again the problem has occurred. Surprisingly, once if this problems occurs, it repeats intermittently & erratically. That is worry. Do you have any solution? What problem do you face? How you solve those? |

Our system has problem --lost data and I try to load back up --not successful. Our system is special Siemens-Yashikawa join venture production--CNC is 840Di--drives are Yashikawa every time we need call an Japanese Guy to help us. The problem happen as our shop got power rushing(down-up-down quickly)--this m/c has Siemens UPS, but we did not find the battery for UPS almost die. We just replaced whole UPS device. hope no more data loss. |

I have raised request for technical service support & answer received from support dept. is update the HMI adv s/w from present 06.04.28.00 to 06.04.33.00 which is the last version in this product. |
